2012 Mayan Calendar Predictions
Keeping Your Life On Hold?

by Andi Mac

Wondering when the other shoe is going to drop?

2012 BooksWill 2012 bring the end of the world -- or something wonderful for humanity -- or nothing at all?

Until you know for sure, you may sometimes feel like you're life is on hold until December 21, 2012, finally rolls around?

A parade of books, films, documentaries and literally thousands of web sites cast the ancient Maya and the Mayan calendar in the role of harbingers of doom and foretellers of the end of the world.

Many have done this unknowingly, some because doom-n-gloom sells and others because they believe it.

The question is...

Are 2012 Mayan Calendar Predications True?

A question that's more to the point is...

Are there any 2012 Mayan calendar predictions at all?

Prepare yourself. This may come as a shock.

There are no predictions from the ancient Maya that say the end of the world is coming, December 21, 2012.

And there's more to it...

While there are actually no specific predictions from the ancient Maya that forecast the world ending when the calendar ends, there's reason to think they would have considered it a significant time.

From a purely academic view it would be in keeping with ancient cultural values, to keenly observe cycles of time.

There's so much more to this story, you may find yourself absolutely astonished as we go further into it...

How Do You Like Your Soup?

A quick online search on the Mayan calendar will bring up thousands of pages filled with information on both sides of a divided line:

  • One side says the end-date of the Mayan calendar is extremely important. How important? It will cover the range from being a profound time for change to being the end of the world and the end of humanity.
  • The other side says it's not important at all. These folks contend we don't really know when the Mayan calendar ends. Many say it just starts over, like the odometer turning over on your car.

Bear in mind that we haven't even begun to talk about when the Mayan calendar really does end. We're only discussing - so far - that it ends and the story that's been created around it.

The Pot's Been Simmering For Years...

cosmic soupCan you imagine peeling potatoes and onions, cutting up carrots, shelling some nice peas and then throwing it all in the pot with a heap of garbage?

Then throwing in a few rusty bolts, some gravel, some dirt and a few handfuls of gooey slime, light the fire and simmer for twenty years.

Would you eat that?

You may be consuming it without realizing it. Well... not literally but metaphorically speaking it's possible. When you come across information and accept it without knowing if it's fact or fiction... no matter the source... it becomes a matter of "garbage in - garbage out" (as they say). Who wants to eat garbage? No one. So, let's find out what's real and what's not shall we?

Telling fact from fiction -and- science from the science-fiction is getting more difficult:

  • There's a lot of information about the Mayan calendar stated as fact that isn't. And...
  • There's information mixed with other information that doesn't match up. Defined as: confusion.

In the series of articles, audios and videos soon to be added in this section, we'll look closer at the most common information you'll find online about 2012 Mayan calendar predictions.

Articles, audios and videos coming in this series:Track Down
  • A video review of "Doomsday 2012: The End of Days" detailing where this docudrama misinformed viewers. This may shock you.
  • Is a Galactic Alignment coming in 2012? If so what is it exactly and what will it mean?
  • What did the ancient Maya actually have to say about the end of their calendar?

All of the topics above - and more - will be covered in this "Track Down" series. You don't want to miss this!
